Backpack

There have been quite a few changes since we used the Linux Live scripts (linuxlive.org), but some of the internals are still very similar. In addition to performing a more general overhaul of the scripts to tweak them more for our needs, we also need to add more control over the boot process for advanced users. While Ubuntu can be restricting for the advanced user, it does have some neat capabilities for customizing the boot choices. I think they went overboard a little, but more control (without it always being through a shell) would be nice.
